Pasta with greek style sauce

Greek Style Spaghetti


  1. Boil the spaghetti following the instructions on the box. Drain and butter them in order not to stick.
  2. Brown the onions and the peppers.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until sauce is ready (thick enough).
  4. Serve with grated greek cheese on top (feta or mithythra).


  • 1 red pepper, cut in stripes
  • 1 green pepper, cut in stripes
  • 1 onion, finely cut
  • 4 tomatoes, peeled and crushed
  • 3 spoons tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup of cleaned olives, cut in pieces
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 pinch of cumin
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 spoons olive oil
  • Greek cheese (crumbled feta or mitzythra)
  • 500 grams spaghetti
  • Butter for buttering the spaghetti
