Pasta with greek style sauce
Greek Style Spaghetti
Directions
- Boil the spaghetti following the instructions on the box. Drain and butter them in order not to stick.
- Brown the onions and the peppers.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer until sauce is ready (thick enough).
- Serve with grated greek cheese on top (feta or mithythra).
Ingredients
- 1 red pepper, cut in stripes
- 1 green pepper, cut in stripes
- 1 onion, finely cut
- 4 tomatoes, peeled and crushed
- 3 spoons tomato paste
- 1/2 cup of cleaned olives, cut in pieces
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 pinch of cumin
- Salt
- Pepper
- 4 spoons olive oil
- Greek cheese (crumbled feta or mitzythra)
- 500 grams spaghetti
- Butter for buttering the spaghetti
