Strawberry spoon sweet


  1. Wash and clean the strawberries by removing the stalks. If they are small leave them as a whole, otherwise cut them in the middle.
  2. Put them on a large and deep saucepan and sprinkle with lemon. Cover them with sugar and let them stand all night.
  3. Pour two cups of water and boil the strawberries a little until they foam and you skim them.
  4. Allow to stand for 12 hours.
  5. Drain the syrup from the strawberries and make it thick by boiling it over high heat. If necessary, skim.
  6. When it starts to thicken put back the strawberries and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and let the sweet cool. Shake the saucepan so that the syrup is evenly distributed.
  8. Once cool preserve in sterilized jars in the fridge.

Add some drops of brandy optionally. The maximum portion of sugar to add in this recipe is 1 kg. We added less because the strawberries were sweet enough.


  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 2 spoons lemon juice
  • 800 grams sugar
  • 2 cups water

Don’ boil the strawberries too much because they are sensitive and they can easily melt.
