Chocolate almond cake
Directions
- Roast the almonds on a heat proof pan.
- Sift flour and mix with the baking powder.
- Separate the whites from the yolks.
- Beat the whites to make a tight meringue.
- Add the olive oil in a mixer and start beating it.
- Add gradually the sugar and the egg yolks.
- Then add gradually in iterations the milk, the almonds, the chocolate piece, the meringue and the flour until all ingredients are mixed together.
- Beat in the mixer for 10 minutes.
- Empty on a buttered baking cake pan and bake in 180 C for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Ingredients
- 280 grams brown sugar
- 120 grams grated almond kernel
- 110 grams fresh milk
- 220 grams olive oil (or the equivalent in butter)
- 5 eggs
- 1 tspsn baking powder
- 1 vanilla doze
- 1 piece of dark chocolate
- Some butter to butter the cake pan
