Chicken with mushrooms

Directions

  1. Saute the chicken, the onions and the mushrooms in the melted butter.
  2. Add the rest of ingredients and cook in low heat for 1 hour.
  3. Check that the chicken is tender and cook more if necessary.

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken around 1 – 1,5 kg
  • 1/2 kg mushrooms, chopped in small pieces
  • 1/2 kg small onions, sliced
  • 8 tea spoons butter
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1/2 glass sweet red wine
  • 1 tin peeled tomatoes (or for better taste mash the equivalent portion of fresh tomatoes)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
