Stewed apples sweet
Directions
- Wash and clean the apples. Cut each one in 2 pieces, or in 4 pieces if they are too large.
- Place them in water and add some drops of lemon to avoid getting the apples a brown color.
- In the meantime add the sugar and the water in a saucepan.
- Add the apples, the cinnamon stick and the lemon rind and bring into boil.
- When they are soft enough remove from saucepan and place them in a pot, discard the lemon rind and the cinnamon stick and boil the syrup for some more time to thicken it more.
- When finished, pour the syrup over the apples and let the apples cool.
Ingredients
- 750 gr large apples
- 300 gr sugar
- Cinnamon stick
- Lemon rind
- 400 ml water (use as much as you want. The lesser you add the thicker the syrup will become)
