Lentils with orzo

Directions

  1. Bring the lentils to the boil and waste their water. Rinse them.
  2. Bring them to boil again and add olive oil, tomato juice and slices, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
  3. Boil them in the pressure cooker for 4 minutes.
  4. Remove from the saucepan and put them in a baking pan together with their juice. Mix them with the orzo. Throw away the bay leaf.
  5. Bake for 40 minutes in preheated oven (180 C) until juice is absorbed. If necessary add more water. Taste and fix with salt and pepper, if necessary.
  6. Remove from the oven, let the mixture cool a bit and then serve.

  • 200 grams lentils
  • 250 grams orzo
  • 1 mashed tomato
  • 1 tomato, thinly cut
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
