Solar Cooking – Suitable Recipes

contest3Most of the oil dishes, included in our collection of greek recipes are eligible for solar cooking. Try some of the following: 

Briam

Okra

Stuffed tomatoes and peppers

stewed potatoes

 

For these oil dishes allow double cooking time for half of the portion suggested in the recipes.

You may also try to cook some fish & meat recipes:

Meat with orzo

This is a picture of cooking stuffed tomatoes and peppers in a solar oven, after 3 hours, but with plenty of passing clouds (throttle not so full in the end). Having in mind that in conventional oven this dish takes more than an hour to cook then 3 hours cooking time is not so bad!
