Octopus with small onions

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to the simmer and cook until all the water evaporates and octopus is left with its oil.

Ingredients

  • 1,3 kg octopus, washed and cut in small pieces
  • 1,5 cup olive oil
  • 1 kg small onions, peeled (do not cut onions in pieces)
  • Half cup of vinegar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 650 gr tomatoes, peeled and mashed
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Rosemary
  • Salt
  • Black thick pepper
