Broccoli salad

- Thoroughly wash the broccoli and trim off the tough stems. (You can keep some of the more tender stem pieces if you like, just be sure to cook them until they are tender.)
- Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the prepared broccoli and cook until fork-tender, about 5-10 minutes, depending on the size of your florets and if you included stems.
- Drain the cooked broccoli well and transfer it to a serving bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and fresh lemon juice, then season with salt to taste.
