Chicken with vegetables and mastic


  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in oil, coriander and oregano for two or more hours.
  2. Fry them lightly in oil and add all the vegetables.
  3. When the vegetables start to soften douse with wine.
  4. Add the masticha (mastic) and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add broth and simmer until most of the juice evaporates and chicken is tender.
  6. Finally add the cream and let it bind with the rest of the ingredients for 5 minutes.


  • 1 chicken fillet, cut in thin stripes
  • 1 zucchini, cut in thin stripes
  • 1 carrot, cut in thin stripes
  • 1 wine glass ouzo
  • 1/2 chicken broth
  • 2 pinches of ground coriander
  • 5 spoons cream fresh
  • 1 tspn ground masticha (mastic)
  • Olive oil
  • 2 pinches oregano
  • Salt
  • Pepper
