Beef slices with vegetables and Vinsanto wine from Santorini

VINSANTO Boutari is a very special wine, one of the best known in Greece, with a worldwide reputation. Its name originates from Vino di Santorini (Wine of Santorini) that has gradually led to its present name.

Directions

  1. Heat olive oil in a big frying pan.
  2. Brown the beef slices on all sides.
  3. Finish browning with Vinsanto wine, cover the frying pan and simmer for 45 minutes or until meat is tender.
  4. Dissolve honey into the meat’s sauce and then pour carrots and mushrooms into the frying pan.
  5. Add salt and pepper, bring into boil and simmer until vegetables are cooked. Always keep the frying pan covered.
  6. Serve with thin spaghetti (meat and spaghetti mixed all together) or cook until most of the juice evaporates and sauce thickens and serve with mashed potatoes.
